Delicious Reads

Whether you’ve managed to arrange a holiday or not this year, summer is definitely the time to get stuck into a tasty book. There’s nothing quite like it for transporting yourself away into another world, all from the comfort of your armchair/hammock.

Obviously our fudge is the perfect accompaniment to a good read, you’re on holiday after all…but if you want to some enjoy virtual sweetness instead, we recommend the following to add to your summer reading list:

‘Sweet Sorrow’ by David Nicholls
Another stunning book by David Nicholls. This nostalgic story will take you back to the angst and joy of what it is to be young and in love.

‘The Sweet Shop Owner’ by Graham Swift
Booker prize winning author, Graham Swift’s moving novel reveals the hidden poetry of small men’s lives.

Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Jamie Ford
An impressive debut that explores the conflicts between father and son, the beauty and sadness of what happened to Japanese Americans in the Seattle era during World War II, and the depths and longing of deep-heart love.
